What are Anti-Wrinkle Injectables?

Anti-Wrinkle injectables is the most effective way to prevent the formation of static wrinkles  by stopping facial nerves sending signals to the nerve and muscles. The reduction in movement in the muscles places less stress on the skin and helps maintain a more fresh and youthful appearance.

Anti-wrinkle injectables are formed from a purified protein that temporarily causes the the facial muscles to relax , resulting in smoother, softer and more natural skin . Millions of people around the world have benefited from anti-wrinkle injectables.

At therapie clinic, we employ a team of the most highly qualified doctors that consult with you to recommend the most suitable treatment for your particular concerns, be it anti-wrinkle injectables; dermal fillers or lip enhancements, for the most aesthetically pleasing and subtle results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anti-wrinkle

Is the treatment painful?

An anti-wrinkle injectable is administered with a very fine needle, and takes only a few seconds. It’s the tiny prick of the needle for a moment, and most patients tolerate it very well. Several injections are given into the area you’re concerned about, for example the frown lines between the brows. If you are highly sensitive, and topical anaesthetic gel can be applied first.

Dermal fillers are administered the same way, though take a little longer, depending on the area of the face being treated.

Will I see immediate results?

It varies by patient, but as a rule expect to see the results within 2 – 5 days as the muscle beneath the skin of the frown line relaxes. Once it does, the difference will be noticeable to you as you know every inch and line of your own face. The results are subtle and natural, making you look well-rested and more youthful.

Are there any side effects after anti-wrinkle injectables?

Anti-wrinkle injectables and dermal fillers are tried and tested in millions of treatments globally and are safe and effective when administered by a doctor who has correct understanding of the underlying facial musculature.

Side effects can include minor bruising at the site of the injection, so don’t take any medication that thins the blood (like aspirin) for several days prior to your treatment, as this increases the risk of bruising.

How long do anti-wrinkle injectables and dermal fillers last?

Each patient responds differently but in general, anti-wrinkle injectables last between 4 and 6 months before the relaxing effect on the muscle wears off.

Dermal fillers last for a longer period depending on the type of filler being used, and the area of the face being treated.

Will I look frozen after receiving Anti-Wrinkle Injectables?

No. Our doctors study your facial musculature and administer the right amount of product for you, for the most natural and subtle of results. The ‘frozen’ or unnatural appearance you sometimes see on celebrities happen as a result of over-treatment.

Will use of anti-wrinkle injectables prevent more wrinkles from forming?

Evidence suggests that as the muscle is trained to relax and the overlying skin releases its wrinkle that it does help in the prevention of further lines from forming in that area. It’s the repeated contraction of the facial muscle whilst making an expression like smiling or frowning that caused the wrinkle in the first place, so once the muscle relaxes, wrinkles don’t form in the treated area until the effects of the injection wear off. Regular treatments mean the muscle stays relaxed, and wrinkles are kept at bay.

What is Botox?

What is Botox? Botulinum toxin (known more commonly at Botox®) has been known for more than a century, but not until 1980 was the toxin found to be useful for a number of medical problems. Injections of this toxin have been used in cosmetic medicine since the early 90’s. The toxin has the ability to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. Botox injections have also been used to treat medical problems such as excessive sweating and migraines.

Almost every celebrity has been associated with Botox, very often for taking its uses to the extreme and taking on that startled, surprised look! Careful consideration is called for before you progress and the best advice is to visit a highly reputable and experienced clinic, renowned for good practice and subtle results, such as Therapie Clinic. Anti-Wrinkle Injectables (similar to Botox®) must be administered by a medical doctor. Therapie has clinics nationwide and uses medical practitioner like Dr. Altona Myers.
